Protectli - mostly because its a real x86 with intel nics. Also, if you purchase the SG-1100 from Netgate you are directly supporting the development of the pfSense project. Do I have to have Windows installed? I have a Protectli FW2B that was running Untangle. Weve posted our specs and performance test results for the 1100, Tom Lawrence has a nice review for the 1100 as well. In regard to the license, is it still married to the HD? So if my nvme drive fails for example, do I have to by another license just because of hardware failure? For the $45 one, I don't really care. I want to make sure that I can have them safely setup, have open NAT status, and if playing an online game like Destiny 2, my kid an I can join the same raid partyģ. I just don't want to have any restrictions on what would be considered "normal use"Ģ. For home use, what license do I need? I have bi-directional gigabit internet and probably 25 devices at home when you include phones, Alexa, etc. I'm currently running Untangle and am getting sick of certain aspects thereof.
